Moroney Landscape has an immediate opening for a Landscape Operations Manager. Our company has been serving residential and commercial clients in Kansas City since 1995! We are seeking an individual that can build our team and bring our company vision to reality. This experienced individual must have a passion for the green industry, with an entrepreneurial spirit. This professional will be responsible for maintaining and growing our operations across the Kansas City metro area. Our smaller size and family environment allow a unique experience in the industry where our operations manager gets a hands-on ownership-like experience. The operations manager will have the ability to direct company size and growth in a way that will drive success as well as maintain a healthy work/life balance.
We are looking for a professional Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations. The operations manager role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. The specific duties of an operations manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring materials and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business.
Responsibilities
-Hire, train, motivate, and schedule the employees needed to perform landscape services at residential and commercial properties.
-Work with the employees to perform the tasks required to complete each day’s project in an effective manner. This is a “hands on” manager position where you are performing the landscape services along with employees to get the job done.
- Plan and schedule the work for each day in coordination with the office manager.
- Bid new work to increase company sales and profits.
- Meet with homeowners and property managers to accomplish the landscape needs requested.
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee shop efficiency
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor production
- Find ways to increase quality of customer service
Skills
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a management role in the landscape industry
- Experience in selling landscape services, overseeing the maintenance of commercial and/or residential landscape work, tree trimming and removal, snow removal, new installations, and irrigation.
- Not required but preferred degree in horticulture, forestry, turf management, or related field.
- Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills

- Basic technology skills to use company software and email

Compensation:
- Starting Base Salary $45-55,000, based on experience and qualifications
